Growing up two blocks from the ocean and the beaches with all its free stuff a kid could drag home -- has stuck with me all these 72 years.

I get great enjoyment from making something from "something heading for a landfill or to be burn't, etc.

The wood fishing reels are made from scraps gathering dust in my shop, all parts except handle are turned, even 1/8 in washers of hardwood.
I have made 4 King Salmon from 4ft to 52 inches.
Many of the bases are carved from firewood while many others are "found wood"

Beautiful work there, Don. Very realistic. I like the shots through the shop window as well. You live in
beautiful country.
