Yoshino cherry have cherries?

Do yoshino cherries have cherries?

Sorry if that is a stupid question.

There used to be yoshino cherries all along a walkway on my college campus, and I have always wanted to plant one. However, my father has a wild cherry tree at his house and the bird litter is horrible. I would not want that at my house.

I had never noticed cherries at college, but I just now realized that I would have been home for summer break during the cherry litter season.

I've never seen any ornamental cherry species (Yoshino is one) produce fruit. Same can't be said for some of the purple plums.

Yep, thay produce fruit and birds do love them.

Hmm, the UFL site says the Yoshino has insignificant litter, where as the Black Cherry has significant litter.
