I hate my MS361 so much that every time I use it, it gets whiped down , I cant stand it , thats why its always the frist saw I grab when cutten wood , ok its the best saw I have ever owned . TEDMI
HEY ultra, I have a guy that needs a 028 service manual. I have sent him the IPL and 011 service manual and IPL. If you can help him out let me know and I will put you in touch with him here.
The saw I most often grab also, when there is serious work to be done......

I think alot of folks took this 361 372/375 thread as bashing one brand. It wasn't attended as that, it was to show what I have been saying about the new and used prices of the 361 and 372 being similar in price is all.
I sold a stock used 361 and bought a used 372/375 for the same price, before paying for the woods porting . Thats all I was showing, was that you can get more saw and YES ST more weight for your money.:hmm3grin2orange: I gained 15cc's for the same money stock.
Both saws are great saws for their purpose no bashing here all.
Well cut I tell ya what. Use those saws for something other than cutting cookies and you will see what I'm referring to. Stick a bar bigger than a 16" on that 372 and put it in some decent sized wood. Keep it in the cut for a awhile and tell me if the log burns, not a good situation! That is why all ports are angled on work saws, for a reason.
I think the ports on the front blow a lot more exhaust back into the operators face.
Most of my saws are ported right out the front of the muffler..............and yep I do cut big wood with 'em. Do they burn the log.....yep.....caught one on fire......nope. All is cool there!!!
I have three saws with ports in the front of the muffler, and it doesn't bother me all that much, running synthetic oil helps.
