I haven't been on here lately. Been busy with some problems.

My wife had a bad fall this past winter and had been having a lot of pain in her right shoulder. Dr's here said it was a bad sprain, even after having an MRI.

Took the pics of the MRI to my Dr at Mayo and he had a specialist look at them. She had a 90% tear in her rotator cuff. Needed surgury ASAP.

We got home today after a week in Rochester, Mn. She had a lot more problems in that shoulder. Things that the MRI didn't show. Once the surgeon got in there and saw what was wrong, he fixed everything. We are home now but she can't move her right arm, other than therapy that I have to do for her, for 6 weeks. Then she is VERY limited for 6 months. After that it is a day to day regimine until she and the Dr think it is good to go.

I feel like I lost my right arm. She is that much help to me.

Don't take your wives for granted, they do more for you than you realize.

Hang in there buddy, My wife had a knee replaced a few years back and I can honestly say I feel your pain. My prayers go out to you folk.
Them Docs can do amazing things these days, however, unfortunately, It's gonna hurt while it heals.
Good luck to you both....Jn 14:27

heck yea man good luck and many prayers to you and your wife.

god forbid, im up a creek with out a paddle if something ever happens to mine

hope she recovers quickly....don't let her over-do anything, even when she feels "good".

I had my cuff done a few years ago, painful, take it easy on it for as long as the DR says, be dilligent on the physio, mine is back 95+% was worth it.
I think the good physio guy was the answer. Good Luck!!!:)

Hey outlander, I'm wondering how you two are fairing today. Are things any better yet? Do you have enough wood burn?
Just checkin in, God bless ya both in this time of need.

Thanks for all the good wishes.

She is doing good, not too much pain unless she moves it wrong. She says it is less painful now than before sugury.

Any of you care to do some dishes for me?:D

I had my cuff and labrum done in Dec. It was the best thing I ever did. Had been bothering me for years, and was beginning to inhibit firewood gathering:mad:
I agree about the PT(physical torture) folks. I think that helped so much I started working out both shoulders.

Outlander, I'll bet she is much happier once all the healing and therapy is over.
Good luck

Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers. She really is much better now than before the sugury. It must have been hurting her more than she told me. She says the pain in her upper arm and neck is gone, only has pain in her shoulder after we do the therapy 3 times a day but that pain goes away in about an hour.

I have to tell ya, I have an incredible wife. The week before her surgury, I was planting corn 18-20 hours a day and she always had fuel, seed, food and any parts I needed within 1/2 hour of when I called her. I didn't appreciate her enough until now. Don't know how I'm going to get the soybeans planted without her to help.

Thanks for the "heads up" Hayward. She is always there to catch those splits that go crazy off the splitter, and always stokes the stove when I'm in a "beer coma".

Really happy to see she's on the mend. Give all our best to her. Sincerely. Women put up with more pain in a lot of ways than men ever will, and most of the women I've known keep their mouths shut about it. Unlike most men.

LOL on the beer coma. Been there, done that. :D
