Carb is on a Echo blower. What is the center post between the H & L screws for? Is is just a bumper or something? Hated to start a new thread for this, but I just couldn't find any info for it.

Ok that make sense if they were put on for them to stop against since they are apart. But why would they not just put a plastic surround. Surprised they went for the metal in that case.
