    Chimney on outdoor wood furnace?

Nice stove! Looks like it's manufactured by the same company in Manitoba that built my Heatmaster SS 10,000? Re. the extension: I purchased the 2' extension and cap for my stove, from the dealer. No problems after 4+ years and have never had to clean the chimney. I'll put another 2' on it...

Needed help with a failing wood master 4400. It's going to be cold tonigh! Help!

No worries about the freeze up as long as you keep the circ pump(s) running. We head for Florida for 2 weeks each winter and switch the house and shop over to oil heat. There's enough heat exchanged back into the OWB, from the heat exchangers, to not allow this to happen. The OWB seller told me...

Instructions to wife on how to maintain OWB: "I'm goin out, don't know when I'll be back. If you don't keep puttin wood in the damn thing, your fat A$$ is gonna get cold". See.....no need for a detailed proceedure.

    Best overall OWB / Manufacturer?

I'm hearin ya D but, give a try to lowering the temp to 160. I think you'll find that it won't make any diff. to your home comfort but, will cut down noticeably on the wood usage? What differential do ya set it @? I set mine for 5 deg. in the cold weather & 3 deg in the warmer stuff. The...

Water Lines From Stove to House

Thermopex, no more than 24" deep. My runs are : 250' to house, 125' to shop, with little or zero heat loss, & no melting snow on top. The last 6 feet to the house is above ground & under the decking. Do it right & spend the $$ on good pipe, forget about insulating yourself. I love NOT...

    Best overall OWB / Manufacturer?

I can go for about 12 hours with a half load of softwood, & just about zero ash...just some powder! What temp do you set your's @? I found that the recommended 170 is better for less creosote build up, especially on the damper rod but, uses more wood needlessly? Cheers. Paul

    Best overall OWB / Manufacturer?

I had a look @ the site, the product is very similar to mine (Heatmaster SS, manufactured by SteelTech in Manitoba), maybe same?? http://www.heatmasterss.com/ I've had a HeatMaster SS 10,000 model now for 3 winters without any problems...LOVE IT! The unit is good for 10,000 sq.ft., we heat 2...

    Heatmor owb problems

Red, Sorry to hear about your Heatmor issues. I had "Leprechaun" Charlie quote me one for the identical price you paid. Since my buddy has had a Heatmor for almost 20 years without any issues, I figured it was the way to go? His stove certainly doesn't show any signs of the corrosion that...

    6-second street car.Awesum

Nice 67, & with a 5 speed too, although I have a pref. for 66's! Needs suspension work, got lots of ET left in it. The 1032HP reading was @ the rear wheels, proly over 1200 @ the crank, very conservative for a turbo car. Cheers. Paul

No kiddin? It's sure a far cry from the garbage they sell here in their big box stores. Oh well, it's still better than the crap sold by Home Hardware, if you can believe that! One more peice of trash to sling..... has anyone noticed how bad the once great TSC stores have become? They must...
