Shot crankshaft bearing on Stihl, advice anyone?

Thanks for the input. I was pretty sure of it, but when a large part seller on ebay tells you any of them will work, you have to check. Now i've got to figure out how to tell him he's wrong.......

Shot crankshaft bearing on Stihl, advice anyone?

So I picked up a running MS210 to rebuild. Got a good deal because the owner said something was loose in the engine. I figured worn piston skirt and took it apart. Turns out the piston is in great shape, cylinder is fine but the lower bearing connecting the crank/rod is cracked. In trying...

Need stupid part for my Husqvarna 262, anyone?

Thanks anyway, it looks like one might come through. Apparently, only the first few years of the 262 were made with the "Lunch Box Handle"©. I've heard that it really raises the value of the saw.........:hmm3grin2orange:

Need stupid part for my Husqvarna 262, anyone?

I think the "M" must be for Microsoft. They were thinking of installing a PC in there. The 262 was pretty high tech for it's time. I personally would prefer a place to plug in my Ipod...... Joking aside, thanks for the suggestions like the spray foam and aluminum cover. I might try to...

Need stupid part for my Husqvarna 262, anyone?

I know, it's small, un-necessary and stupid. But when I got this 262 it was missing the little plastic flap on the bottom of the tank handle. It's only found on the first few years they made this saw (90-92) and it seems like no one has the damn thing available (yes, checked ebay). I don't...

    Homelite Chainsaws

There is no way i'm patching the hole. I've already bought the new tank and cover. I just want to know what to use to seal the new parts together. the IPL says use homelite cement p#22788. I'm hoping Dirko will do as I have plenty of that. Thanks

    Homelite Chainsaws

Sorry if this has been answered before. I tried the search but came up with nothing. Working on a XP1000 which has magnesium rot through the fuel tank and cover. The hole is big enough to put your thumb through.... The rest of the saw looks good other than the starter which I may convert...

Looks familiar. Was just up earlier with this ad and another saying he was looking for parts and "might" consider selling. Guess he decided. Maybe a member here?

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Just picked up this new addition to my sp80/81 collection. I bought it based on 1 photo and my friend picked it up for me for very cheap. I haven't done a thing to it yet. I was told it was seized up but never expected what I found. Good and bad,,,and weird. Good are the full wrap and...

Sold by an art gallery. They must be going for the Post-modern niche. Kart engines sell for big bucks to the Warhol crowd....

Ad say's "you could run a logging company with just this saw". Seems like a clueless suburban person scored a deal at a garage sale. A golden 075/76. BEAST Stihl Chainsaw And this one too. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/tls/2975934613.html
