    Stihl help please!

I have been buying repairing and selling refurbished Stihl saws for about ten years now and have come across a saw that I am having a problem figuring out. I am trying to put a saw together from spare parts from my collection of leftovers. I have a cylinder from the MS 210, 230, 250 series. The...

    Update on Raisman Piston...Continued use.

I am about to pull the trigger on a Raisman piston for a Stihl MS 180. There were a number of previous posts about these pistons but nothing recent. I was wondering how they hold up over time. All input is appreciated = Bill Titzer

    450 Shindaiwa Parts Needed

I have rebuilt/restored 20+ Stihl saws in the past and have never even held one of these here Shindaiwas before. A friend(so called) gave me this saw with a few parts missing. I am hoping to find used parts since this saw is not what I would call a collectible. Any help/direction would be...

    Stihl 088 persistent melting problem!

I had this happen to me w/my 066 The exact same thing happened to me twice w/my 066. Whenever my bar and chain cover would get really compacted and plugged up with wood shavings. It seems that the extra friction from turning the clutch rim in the shavings was enough heat to melt the cage.

    Stihl 011 Cylinder Fit

I have a number of parts saws that I am trying to piece together and I was hoping for a piece of advice for the one I am currently working on. I was wondering if a cylinder with a 4 hole base will bolt onto a crankcase with 2 holes. It also looks like there is a plastic spacer on the base of the...

    Stihl 036 and 036 Pro

To the best of my knowledge................ The chain brake is designed to totally stop chain movement within seconds of actuation. If your chain is still moving I would suggest inspection.

    Stihl 036 and 036 Pro

Someone correct me if I'm wrong....... I was at the Stihl Dealer the other day looking at his exploded view of an 026/026 Pro. I believe it said that the Pro used a thinner cylinder base gasket which would give the Pro a slight HP increase due to higher compression.

    Chainsaw Retribution

Not meaning to pee on a parade but, these same photos were posted on the internet approx. 18 mo. ago with the explanation that a pilot had a vintage "spin your own prop to start" airplane when it started unexpectedly. It got into other parked aircraft before it could be stopped. Thanx, Bill T.
