    Firing up the copsey 7900

I'd love to. I've always heard he was really good with the 7900 and after running his 371 I figured he was just as good with others but I never heard anyone talk about other builds except the 7900. I've always wanted to hand a 390 over to him, maybe in the future.

    Firing up the copsey 7900

....sorry, I didn't plan ahead, afraid I'd jinx how good the back was feeling. But at the end of the day we did indeed address our screw up.

    Firing up the copsey 7900

After being laid up with a back injury for 18 months I finally made it back out to the woods last weekend with some friends to do some healthy cutting, we all heat with wood. I brought several saws to include a copsey 371xp and the copsey 7900. I had forgotten how strong these saw are. I started...

    346XP replacement?

My bad....I apologize, they were comparing the farmboss not the 262.

    346XP replacement?

yeah, I realized later that was wrong....Like I said, not sure how authentic the comparison was but interesting and worth investigating if you are looking for a saw that size.

    346XP replacement?

cs 590, yes I believe that's the one. I went back to see if I could find the Vid with no luck. It seems to me that the worst thing about the echo was that it was an echo. Assuming the vid was authentic it sort of spanked the 262.

    346XP replacement?

I've heard Echo has a strong contender in this class as well. I don't remember what the numerics were on the saw but I did watch a vid comparing it to the 262, guys seemed to love it. Anybody have any more data?

Keeping smoke off the stove windows

I have a buck stove 2700 with glass doors. I can clean the windows with oven cleaner but they tend to smoke right up again after 12 to 24 hours. Anybody have a tips to keep them cleaner longer? Thanks

Question concerning sharpening with the 511 AX

I have sharpened Oregon, carlton and Windsor chains on the Oregon 511 grinder and noticed and after many hours of experimenting there were always 2 chains that turned out sharper than the rest....the two Windsor chains that I have. I would not had been surprised if it was Oregon because I would...

    32 inch bar/7900

This is beautiful! Now I have an excuse to get that 390 I've been eyeballing
  13. W

    32 inch bar/7900

I can believe that after this weekend....so with the bar not getting enough oil what are the concerns? Will it ruin a B/C? How much does it effect the cutting?

    32 inch bar/7900

I'm sure this has been dicussed but I found nothing. Over the weekend I was running a new oregon skip chain on a 32 inch bar with a modded 7900. I had it buried in some 30 inch ash. Ran strong but I believe my oiler was struggling. Is that pretty typical for the 7900 with that length or did I...

Are Stihl saws as good as they were?

I may not be entirely accurate with my facts here but if you go back and read Brads thread "a tale of three saws" I believe he will actually show pictures of some of the P/C casting differences between an older 066 and a newer 660. That had a lot to do with how I viewed this question. The reason...

you say I dodged a bullet with my bike, that implies the only reason I wasn'y hurt was from pure luck, that knowing what I was doing had nothing to do with it...I say NO SIR TO YOU! Why, because I absolutely did nothing on the 1000 liter bike that I wouldn't have done a 500cc bike. I would 've...

first off, for about 70% of us here it ain't about "need" pal. I cut 10 cord of firewood a year and for about 15 years did it with an 024. Now I have CAD. Now I have eight saw and have more fun, pleasure and enjoyment...and it never did have nuttin to do with "need". Secondly, the whole deal...

    372 xpw vs. 575xp

But were ALL W's 75 cc's? I 've heard there are actually some w's floating around that aren't. Maybe that's why Andre has felt a difference in the w's he's tested????
