    OWB, Yours and why

++1 also look at a Heatsource 1 they are like the heatmor but with a little better parts. Check them all out but just buy one that a dealer is near you cuz you will need parts. Here are a few I would look at Heatsource 1 (im a dealer so I like them more) Heatmor Central Boiler (over...

    PVC for OWB installation

Do not use PVC or CPVC it wont last at that heat. I do know for a fact I seen CPVC used and lasted for about 2.5 years then it failed. PEX pipe is about less then $.85 a foot use it and dont be worried. For the underground pipe keep it below the frost line.....Just a good rule of thumb.

where to place the pool HX

Put it before the pump intake, make sure you can bypass. Its pretty easy to do but most of the time you will need alot of "fittings". Make sure your aquastate is on the return side of pump so you can get a good reading on what temp it is.

Circulator pump only runs when house calls for heat

There is many Ideas on if its a good idea or not. I dont like the idea for a few.. 1. The water that is sitting in the pipes get kinda cold about 120 or even less. Its not good to have a 60 degree temp diff going in to the stove...Kinda will shock the sytstem also could damage the stove...

What is the proper flow through sidearm

Nice point.....But you have to pump water to the house...so you are pumping water in to the side arm. Yes if your where to pump the drinking water in the side arm then you would want to flow the water in to the top..... If you are doing a normal hook up with a normal side arm you need to...

What is the proper flow through sidearm

It works both ways I have hooked up over 200 or so of them....THE BEST WAY IS THE HOT IN TO THE BOTTOM>>>>>> trust me and the other outdoor wood boiler guys.....CB, heatsource1, heatmore, Freeheat, empire, and every other wood boiler tells them to hook up the hot to the bottom of the side arm.

    cb versues heatmore

Look at a heatsource 1 there better then a heatmor.... Stainless just last longer thats all there is to it! if they cracked all the time they wouldnt be around any more. Thats a big myth.
