No way in the world, would I have split the case.

Done a Homelite XL for a friend
about 3 weeks ago same problem. Used some spark screen and quick set JB.
He says it's holding just fine and he liked that the fix was free.

It is a little chilly in the shop, so I will let the jb weld cure an extra day.

Then this fellow will have a nice little saw.

Sometimes you have to think "inside the box" when thinking "out of the box".

When I tightened the modified thin fender washer, it flexed in pulling the screw head in enough out of the way of the adjusted to not be a problem.

No worries on any rep, it is kind of silly anyway.

Besides I only got four greens, and one red "RETARD!!!"...........
