Welp I fired it up tonight. It sure sounds stout. Maybe tomorrow it'll see some wood.

Cool, but now the suspense!!!!!!!!
I've got a 100cc bb for a 395 here, should try it someday.
I sit here wondering if the rings dip into the intake port????
I can't remember. I'll be pulling the carb and looking at it before i fire it up again.
Damn CAD.
OK.....it's back together again. The lower ring was dropping into the intake port. I had Jon tear it down and ditch the ring. The sealer I use needs to dry for 24 hours or so. No running it till tomorrow.
Its been "tomorrow" all day, wheres the vids already!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I'm officially confused, a couple pages back you said you had not touched the ports, yet this piston shows a bunch of port work...please clear this up for me...thanks...
Did you get your timing issue straight?
Good deal.
I'm getting ready to play with some filed up keys on my 064 to see what gains might be made.
I did this to a PP330 of mine at the advice of a member here and was quite surprised at the results.

It does make a big difference on some saws. Just watch the head temperature, more timing lead can cause excess heat.
