I don't even have one in my line up.I agree. I would never pick up a 362 when setting next to a 044.

I have no 60cc saws in my lineup. There's a HUGE power increase going too a 70cc saw. It's either 50 or 70 for me.I don't even have one in my line up.

Well yes but I posted the ones I usually run on jobs. I have the bigger saws and they really don't get used at all. It must be I hate sharpening longer chains and the weight tears my lower back. I never use the 3120 at all.30, 50, 70, 90, 120
I use my 362 more than any other saw, and I have 2 044s that run great.
For what you are describing, I would get the 362 first, even though it does not have the 461s power.
In actual wt (don't trust the website) it is about 1 3/4 lbs lighter, and that and the AV will make a big difference at the end of the day.
You will prefer the 461 for bucking wood over 20", but the 362 for everything else.
IMO, they are fast, smooth & light.

agreed. Id sell the 362.. Had a mint 362MMWSR that I got from DexterDay and traded it for a clean 10mm 044 and a clean 262xp with hda87 carb.
What the hell is a MMWSR ? ..you guys confuse me

The 362 and 044 are close to the same weight if specs are to be believed.
I personally have always been sorry when I bought the smaller engine in almost anything, at least at some point.
its the 362cmr. Kenis had Randy port it before I got it.

Mike im not sayin this to bust your stones so dont get all pissed off.
If you think a 362 is a good saw for limbing and cutting small wood theres 2 things i can think of.
You love stihl a whole bunch.
Or you havent expierenced much else , and a few swipes on a log at a GTG doesnt count.
Theres better options dude..even from stihl.
