Too many **** kiwis here but we are sending them home slowly the good ones are welcome
I hear ya M2.
You can keep the crap, but we'de be happy to have the good buggers back, provided we can jettison one good4Nothing immigrant (or born here for that matter) for every goodBugger Kiwi looking to come home. Just a heads up for those NZers who have been away for a while; much of NZ is not the same as it was. Get out to the rural edges and remoter parts and it's more the NZ of old, but many of the urban areas have been lost to a me-first, immoral, dysfunctional cosmopolitan blend with nowhere near the sense of identity of yore, and where the Kiwi way exists in marketing blurb only.

Pretty much. A general dilution of good-buggerness has rendered the West in general a fat, lazy, over-privileged, under-worked, ripe-for-the-conquering mass of indulgent phuckers. Reminds me of the dreaded third generation farmer curse, where the first gen sacrificed everything to scratch out a living and create the potential for greatness that they never saw but their kids, the second generation made possible because they saw how hard their parents worked and were taught a strong work ethic and good morals. This second generation built the legacy the third generation takes for granted and fails to protect or build upon until the legacy crumbles and financial and moral bankruptcy ensues. It's a pattern with plenty of exceptions but certainly enough prevalence to become a general observation.

500 yard rapid 10 shots out in under 2 minutes & unregistered POI ie,, you dont know or told where shots are landing or get sighters or allowed to zero you just have to trust your rifle and load data lay down and shoot 10 in less than 2 minutes, the best day score was impressive 57

Well done, good shooting mate.
Great to have something you have confidence in, and know it will do what you want it to.

My best rapid fire comp was years ago at an Anzac day shoot, 29 rds 30 seconds kneeling 100mts with an old 40s Smle.
Eventually won the day, as there were other disciplines too.

Was meant to be a mad minute, but there was a shortage of ammo around the country, was on my 12th reload with my comp brass. :), so they cut it to 30 seconds.
Was funny trying to concentrate on hitting target, and all you could think of each bolt cycle was "Now where did that bit of brass end up".

303 comps r fun my club run a few past years,, its leaned off lately as the load mag rapid prone and standing was taken off cuz of club rules and our new $$ electronic targets the 303 chaps had developed a rep of missing everything

i caught this 303 pill when it bounced into the butts

As useless as it is, I still duck when a wayward round dosent stay in the mound :) Happened a bit more with the new butts at Lower Light in the early days.

Cool find, hope when you say you caught it, you didnt have to surgically remove it hehe.
Looks like a 180g bt.

if your southern states SA Vic NSW then sugar gum my guess but its a bit too pink so im might say eucalyptus tereticornis forest red gum as well

Oberon NSW mate. I reckon it's red Gum of some sort, my mate thought possible red box or Peppermint, all I know is it's heavy, hard to split for the most part and I hope it burns well cos I got a ute load of it!

or Eucalyptus melliodora, commonly known as yellow box

The Yellow Box I've cut around here seems more lighter in colour (got a big tree I still have to cut up when I'm allowed back in the pines around here. That was bloody near impossible to split without a log splitter.
