Yep, that's true. Who doesn't want a tractor AND a skidsteer? I'd have one of every model if I could - wheeled, tracked, hovercraft, whatever. 👍 LOL
ME!

I've owned a skid, skid with tracks and tractors. I still have the tractors, but the skids are long gone, and I don't miss them one bit for MANY reasons.

Only thing I have with tracks these days is this,

That sucks. Did you do any damage, looks like a sweet machine.
Broke some plastic. Was going down hill, hit a dip with left ski, pushed me over into the trees. Tree was between ski and hood, thought I was going to have to walk but chipped at the tree enough with screw driver to break it off, lol.

Looks like some nice topsoil, hope it wasn't all wasted on a road . Then again, trucking sand or fill ain't cheap!

Dang, you gotta get a saw mounted to that beast:chainsaw:, or quit hitting trees lol.
Glad it wasn't worse, up here we see many guys die every yr from hitting trees, but you know nearly 100% involve :drinking:. The guys that die falling thru the ice are usually just unaware of their surroundings, we usually see a few of those each yr too.

OH OH OH

22lb brisket I put on the smoker last night. Pulled this morning to wrap.

i probably should have asked?? beef or venison? or?... maybe moose? elk? caribou? Nw does a lot of moose up in his camp... daily smoking as a matter fo fact.

and according to him, never misses Happy Hour! lol, our kind a guy!

Oh Im not that unfamiliar. I know how to efficiently log and produce firewood and lumber. Its just gonna take a bit of time to get good and smooth on witch ever Skid steer I decided on!
i dunno, kid! he comes down with a truck load of fresh smoked brisket, too?? 🤔

Not my deal! Why? You jealous? 🤣🤣🤣

other than the cold and 3/4 winter-time! :cold: been gray and 52f for the past 2 days and i have had just about all i can stand! 🤩

Yeah definitely taking at least a hand saw next time😬.
That’s too bad. Had one death from tree here last year, most are from avalanches.

Thats not the way I meant that at all, just a offer to help if you needed a extra body. I'm taking the winter off this year and I think the wife unit is starting to get sick of having me around all the time!

I'm sure you will be successful no matter which way you go.
Squaws and Wife Units.... OMG!!!! :surprised3:

:baaa:

I'm actually not a big fan of those lol. Cost is too high to justify almost never using the extension.

Im not trying to push him into a 90hp 12,000lb machine. I just want to help him make a educated decision. Everyone is different and he may not like what I like, and thats fine.

My ideal machine would be around 65hp with tracks, high flow and pilot controls. I could care less about brand, but I am partial to the Kubotas.

But that being said, that 773 tire machine in the back of my trailer in that pic has done a lot of work, and I'd take it over nothing any day. It's also very simular is size and power to that s175 he is eyeballing, and I know it would do the job he needs to do
i can see him in a skiff hopping across the bay after 45# salmon... but not a 90 hp skidder!
