Yesterday I was clearing one of my roads with my $50 440. I had just sharpened the chain and I could easily bog this saw down. I had already installed a new spark plug and set the carb. Today I decided to open up the muffler. I welded in anew pipe. Removed the screen to open up that hole. I opened up the inside of the muffler. I reset the carb again as it was not going WOT. What a difference just the muffler job did. This is Cherry I am cutting in the video. Just to have a little fun. This saw is Stihl a Husqvarna.

I guess it will do for a husky. ;)

I know a lot of people trash that family of saws but I had a 450 and really liked it.

There something really wrong if you think a straight 6 is the best engine ford ever made.
I had a 1970 F100 with a 300 six in it. I could not kill that motor. Over the years and many used Fords I ate up a few 360's. The main problem with them was rocker arm shafts wearing out and the oil pressure going South. Then the oil burners. I use to plow with all of these trucks. The F100 had a 6 inch lift kit that I built for the front end. The rear cab mounts let go and I decided to get rid of it. It was a lot of fun.

I feel that folks who are completely dead set on one of the major orange saw companies and their saws being better than the other. Obviously either haven't been around both makes much or have very little time with multiple models from both makers. 🤷

Word in the woods has it that my grapple is now not going to arrive until tomorrow and will not be available fir pickup at the terminal until Monday. Not that it matters. I can't really go to work and hit it hard anyway. Not until I get all my insurance finalized and a truck to hual and tow equipment and/or product with! 🤦 I'm chomping at the bit here!

I kid about it. I like Stihls. I have seen lots of nice saws from several other brands. If they get the job done that's all that matters. I Stihl plan on acting like Stihl snob cause I can.
Feel free to bash me and my Stihl saws if you can't take a joke or even if you can. :popcorn2:

We have lost Colorado. More states r getting overrun. To many people from commie states running from the shite holes they created, but bring the same thinking that caused it. I want to leave MN too, but it is too late for me to move.
The really sad part is they move elsewhere and then try to inject the stupid ways of where they came from. Morons thru and thru.

Well said! I feel the same about all of it! Bash away haters! 👍🤣🤣

Slowly starting to happen up here too. It really upsets me and makes no sense. A lot of newbie residents want to shut down Off-road vehicle recreation trails on the "Road System" that were established 40, 50 years ago or longer! While the rest of the Island (all 95% of it) is National Wildlife Refuge and has been off limits to any land based motorized vehicle since the beginning. Yet trapping on the road System continues with little regulation causing a lot of dog and cat deaths. Usually due to laziness. People dont want to hike 100 yards off a well used hiking traiI to set a snare when they can just set one on a trail that the fox share with humans. They are usually out of state non residents. I'm by no means against trapping! Quite the opposite. I just personally feel it should be done on the Refuge only and off limits on the road system. too many pets are caught and killed by traps around here!
Agreed, 100%. I've trapped on and off for 40 years, and REFUSE to agree that snares should be legal on dry land in Michigan.

The city people just use us for the water and for recreational opportunities. Lecture me about chainsaw use while driving 3-4 hours across the state to just go for a hike.

These people are nuts, and I'm not just talking politics(skirting the line here lol) ...I was doing a hazard tree mitigation project at one of the popular parks near the city(burned out doug fir snags.) I had my guys doing "traffic control" on the hiking trail whenever I'd start to cut up a tree. Anyway, a hiker got into an argument with one of my guys about how I shouldn't be using a powersaw and how it was triggering her anxiety. He asked her how we should cut dead snags down and her only suggestion was by hand. These were mostly 3' dbh trees mind you...

Yeah, I just basically do my "thing" and try to not let the silliness get to me. There will be a healthy black market once the small engine sales ban goes into effect. I've loaded up on a bunch of powersaws, blowers, etc in anticipation, but my local saw shop said don't worry about the ban...their trusted customers will still be able to get what they need...
Idiots for sure

You hear about and read about stories of crazy, fragile people like this...but it's baffling to meet someone like this in person. I think this sorta behaviour develops in some people when their lives become too easy and they don't face any real adversity. Those of us on here face real world problems like doing the hours of manual labor(on top of a normal job) required to heat our houses...we don't have time to develop anxiety about fairy tale problems.
Maybe we could export all the dips and drips to China and let them deal with the problem.

Whoever there first should be able to live their life in peace how they always have.

Agreed, but we’ve had problems with that too. Airports and a beef rendering plant have both had trouble with residents in a nearby residential area that wasn’t even there for most of the existence of the airport and rendering plant. I think it’s ridiculous.
