Has anyone had any experience with “Diamond Cord “ to replace pull cord rope? I was wondering if it’s worth buying because of the high cost!

Starter ropes last a long long time. My ms290 was ten years old and the rope showed no wear and tear.
Some of the old Macs I've gotten from the 60's and 70's still have the original pull cords in them and they are still in good shape.
$100 for 164 feet! Or $15 for 100 feet of Stens. Hmm. Tough choice.- Joined

Sounds like a lot of money to me. Not for most here though. We have members that buy a new chainsaw every month. Spend big money on porting them and never use them.

Been using Stens True Blue for a few years now and find it very good and at that price you can afford to have a couple of different thicknesses on hand.
Been running Stens True Blue for awhile now and haven't had an issue, for the price I'll stick with Stens as well.
I know two or three that swear by the diamond cord and that is all they use in their stihls. I was cutting with one diamond cord man and he asked me what cord I was using since my cords are black and blue. So he checked out mine and I checked out the diamond cord on his saw it was slick, no abrasions what so ever, felt brand new, and he stated he had been using the diamond cord on his primary 362 saw for 4 to 5 years at that point.
If I have a true blue cord fail me which all of my stuff is spooled with true blue, I will spend the time and money to re-spool with the diamond cord.
