Hey guys, just to let you know I ran my 6401 with a 25" Stihl bar and Stihl skip chain this morning. It pulled fantastic and slung chips like crazy, I wouldn't hesitate AT ALL to run this combo all the time if you need this much bar. I needed to cut through some bundles of oak that are 41-44" wide and the stock 20" bar wasn't "cutting it".
Yeah, it's a little heavy and yeah it's not the best balanced machine out there but in good tune they sure can pull hard! I truly feel no need to step up to the 7900 at this time.
