A wound up 60cc saw can cut right with a stock 066/395XP/7900/etc. in midsize wood. As far as holding together - why wouldn't it? Run good gas, synthetic oil (and enough of it), keep a good tune and a sharp chain...the only thing you will be doing is putting rings in it a little more frequently.
