10mm Frankensaw 044.

Parts-bin special here. Case was a 10mm case that someone started grinding on to fit a 12mm crank, and the 10mm guts came out of a busted case. A few of the threads got inserts, but in the end it all went together and the important stuff is all there - nice 10mm P/C with new P, new bearings, no base gasket, and a nice open muffler. Shame I don't have that much use for it, because it has mad torque. Tried selling it locally a while back, but only got lowballers because it comes up a bit short of LNIB in the looks department. So it sits on my saw shelf...

Down to two 440's now. But, one of em is a hybrid!

Very low hour saw that I really didn't need, however the - "give me your I want it out of the garage price today"
was to good to pass up.

If I remember correctly the serial number says its a 12 mm, but it has an angled fin cylinder and D-shaped combustion chamber. Could this have a 10mm cylinder on a 12 mm case, or do they have 12 mm cylinders like this?

Early 12mm cylinders had angled fins too...stand by I'll go get the serial number off the chassis this came off. Adirondackstihl has the serial break in his sig.

Yes it does have a d shaped chamber. Serial number is 130984331. I have a 10mm jug too. They look pretty much identical.
Here's the cylinder from the 12mm

And this came off the 10mm

I guess it could be entirely possible that a 10mm cylinder got used on the 12mm chassis I have...but I have no clue how to tell the difference between the cylinders by themselves.
