Forester chain

I got a Forester b c combo the bar having the pro tip with full chisel chain to put on a saw that I'm selling. I found some oder threads that were mostly negative re the chain and fairly positive re the bar. Being that the threads were mostly a year ago I'm wondering if they have improved as one poster mentioned Forester changed China suppliers. I don't want to sell a saw with junk chain on it.

I wouldn't worry about selling a saw with "junk" chain. If they want a different chain they will swap it out. I use a wide variety of chain and haven't really noticed a difference between brands by very much.

Yes, saws run and cut good when they leave here.

If you write on the receipt xxxx saw fitted with xx inch Forester bar & chain it's then in the buyers court.

Unless the cutters melt off when you rev the saw then sell it. If buyer prefers something else it’s his/her option to change it.

Buyers option, chain is a wear item. Wouldn't worry about it.
