My latest muffler mod.

Had a customer and fellow as member that wanted my ss pipes only screened. I had never done one so I figured there is a first time for everything. Here is what I came up with. 361 Stihl if I remember correctly.

cut in half, remove the cage.

pipe location.

used a stock screen.

made the screen rack out of a piece of 1" tubing and soldered to the inside.

soldered in.

solder prep

before cleaning.

cleaned n blasted.

ready for the oven. I filled the crimp fillet to add some strength to my joint.

left stock opening.

I will have to say this one turned out pretty good.
