I knew it would happen !! first he got lecticity, then a TV and now a celly phone ,, i knew progress wouldnt stop with indoor plumin !! LOL !!

Gee Ron, glad to see your still able to bust my nuts!

You wont have to worry about the texting BS with me. Thats the stupidest faze I have ever seen. You want to talk to me? Just call me. :givebeer:

Thing is this new cell phone the wife brought me will do lots of stuff, and I learned within 15 minutes with it, that it can fly! Yep it got me so mad that I threw it from the kitchen all the way to the liveing room. I was glad it landed on the sofa after I learned how much it cost.... :censored: I can pinpoint where you live now if I can figure that out.
Just got back from the lake, got everything cleaned up from the monsoon that came through, now I'm off to the shop to dig out a crank for some bloke in OZ and to check out the 2 new saws that arrived the other day. A silver Poulan and a yellow Poulan.

A "new" Poulan arrived here in southern Indiana Sunday. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

Got a chance to look over the Poulan Pro 335 and the Ridgid 380-16AV that I recieved the other day. Found them on C/L in MA and learned the seller was a AS Member so we made a deal.

The 335 is very nice, just needed cleaned up and new fuel lines, impulse line and carb diaphragms. Its a early non chainbrake, type 1 model. It also has the "rare" dual port muffler. It runs like a champ now. Someone had Mike bring me this 20" .325 Poulan Pro bar last year, I think from Wigglesworth GTG but I sure cant remember who it was but want to say out loud now thanks. It is the perfect match for this saw.

The Ridgid was in good shape and the seller had already done fuel lines etc. The piston has some scoreing but the compression is very good and it runs great. These Ridgids dont show up often and I'm happy to now have 3 of the 5 that Poulan rebadged for Ridgid.

This 4200 also showed up the other day. I knew it didnt have spark and it has a slightly scored piston but it seems to be in way above average otherwise.

I might fix it when I get time, I'm sure the jug is good because it actually has very good compression. Pistons can be had so it might end up being a good one. It might be up for trade later because I already have 2.

Mark,
That is the prettiest crank I have ever seen. Well come to mention it, there was a real cranky lady lived next door when I was a kid and I saw her sunbaking in her backyard one afternoon without her top on.......boy she was a crank all right. My ears still hurt.

With that Poulan part flying out to Australia I feel we are redressing the world wide imbalance. Far too many chainsaws in the Northern hemisphere for my liking.;)

Awesome saws mark. Both my PP335s are eraly non CB models. The first one (that Ive been using) has the single port muffler, Ill have to check the other one. The rigid and 4200 are awesome as well.

New PP 50cc

I was just window shopping and tire kicking and notice that amazon is apparently taking preorders for a new poulan pro that cracks 50ccs, the Poulan Pro PP5020AV. This is two hunnert clams shipped with a case, BUT, it indicates delivery times of one to two months, which to me means a pre order thing. So, I go to the poulan pro site, and this model isn't listed. Watcha think, a scam on amazon? Stealth 50 cc husky for a lot less just cuz it ain't orange colored? Deal??? Or proly junk? All I have seen of the "new" poulans are the 30 to 40 something cc models like the box stores carry.

It would be interesting if they made a serious comeback and might start to offer some larger saws. I think 50 cc is the rough dividing line between real casual lower powered and getting into more serious cutting. Now if they start offering a 70 something for three hundred out the door....hmmm

Super 380

Here's one I picked up at the not-so-local flea market Sunday. I haven't had a chance to start it yet but it looks to be all there. The guys over there sell Poulans pretty cheap..

I need an oil cap for mine. It's badly mangleated and fubared and basically just sits in the hole, now. The entire saw is surprisingly clean, and I'd like to keep the oil tank that way, too......

Bump Still looking for an oil cap for the Super 33........

Oil cap?

I thought you said gas cap.

a pic would help, but I assume it is similar to the K100. that takes a fairly common looking metal oil plug. I'm betting that if you have a local ODE shop, you and your saw should be able to find an oil cap in short order. An automotive shop would be my next stop.

just so you know, the 361 gas cap appears to fit fine.
