View attachment 565530 View attachment 565529 View attachment 565528 Got my $75 3800 back together. Split case, replaced bar stud, reset cylinder w/0 gasket , new rings and did pressure/vac test. Had to cut new oil pump gasket. Runs great and will likely put a 20" pin it. Need new air filter. Comp is 150.

150 PSI that is good for one of those. Good Job Bob.

I'm thinking about putting new rings in this 3800, psi is around 135. I know that's within normal range for it but if anything is to gain... why not.

While your at it get rid of the base gasket. That will help boost the compression. Those saws have plenty of squish.

Can an 095 mount be modified to be used on an 041 mount. Per acres the slots are the same width. I'm thinking about converting one of my 3300's to 3/8 w a 16" bar and maybe square grind for fun. Hard time finding the 3/8 in a 16". I see a 276 mount will work but can't find a 16 either.

Just delete. You can check squish if you'de like but there's plenty of room.

For sure use a sealer. Use Motoseal#1, Dirko Ht, or three bond 1184. The more I use 1184, the more I like it.

Yes you can, ive actually modified a Stihl mount bar to go on a spacer that was on an 041 mount. Let me get home and I'll take pics of what I'm talking about and it will make sense.

Yes for A095 to A041 dont know about the K095 to K041 on a 3300. Have you tried a '16" k041 chainsaw bar' search on the bay ?

Yup. All of the 041 16" are .325's or LP 3/8.

Get one in 3/8lp and use stihl 63ps full chisel chain, I hear it cuts like a demon. I'm building a husky 350 ported with a 14 inch Oregon bar that's 3/8 lo pro full chisel

Ar you going to bump up the pin from 7 to 8. I think for now I'll pull the rim system on the 3450 and swap it with the 3300 that I think I will be playing with.

I saw some K041 18" 3/8 bars that use 64 drive links that is more like a 17" bar . Is that close enough ?
