That was definitely a problem. The rubber would swell, cause the outer to sit at an angle and allow the pump to suck air.
The one piece hose fixed the issue.
thank you... i was thinking that it did not seem to be seated right . I was thinking it must not be getting a tight seal...
 
20180815_110534-1024x576.jpg Ok I just got my 2300AV running great, turned the reed over and went back thru the carb, float was off now fixed. Took the chain off to work on it and forgot about the clutch till I started saw and watched as it went across the floor sparks flying, glad I have a extra, lost the spring. All is well in Idaho

Was the reed valve seating real good before you flipped it and does it still blow out a lot of gas at WOT?

How i spent my evening....it runs and starts but 3 hard cuts in 12 inch seasoned oak and when i shut it off she was smokin....i cleaned the clutch side maybe the flywheel side was bad as the clutch new fuel lines oil line oil filter fuel filter air filter slapped a good 14 inch on it the bar on it was to much....cleaned rebuilt the carb... it seems to be oiling to much???? i will have to check the cotter pin above the clutch.....im running 40-1 red armor and have it as fat as i can so it will clean up in the cut almost to fat... any ideas turned it on its sides it did not run away.....should i go 32-1 on this older saws i wanted this one to use but if it cant handle 3 back to back hard cuts?????vI have to say i am frustrated....i will break it down one last time both sides and blow every thing out.....the clutch side i cleaned.....any way here are pics i have a 190 pp on the way hope it can handle more then 3 hard cuts....
