So after several heat, pull and hammer sessions I got the flywheel off. Now my next concern is how to replace the ground wire. I figured it would be on a spade terminal. You fellas that have done it before just leave a stub of the original wire and a butt connector or what? I'll post a pic tomorrow but it comes from underneath the coil and up into the top and into a block of resin? On top of the coil.

I have done several of these and usually the insulation on the wire is cracked and falling off all the way to the module.

I solder a new wire to it a few inches from the module then use heat shrink tubing from the soldered joint all the way to the module.

I then seal heat shrink to the module with black liquid tape

Not to hijack the thread, but would anyone happen to have a clutch bushing for a 6000? The EBay ones are the incorrect size. I need the one that is 14mm I.D. and 15mm O.D.

I don't think i do but I'll look. I have a couple sprockets. I don't remember the size of the race you mention, but both the 6000 and S6000 take the larger race used on the Dolmar 152.

Even though the S6000 is a 153, it still used the 152 crank with the larger pto side

Thanks Mark, I have several bearings and bushings but the combo I need is missing.

I don't have one.

Now If this part number in the auction listing is correct and is 90156, this is the race you need for a 152, 6000

And again, if this is really a 90157 this is the bearing.

I bought one of those and it isn't the correct one, but thanks.

Well I did say if the part number listed is correct. 90156 is the race and 90157 is the bearing from the Poulan 6000 IPL
The 152 Dolmar part numbers are 96200001 for the race and 96210001 for the bearing.

Like I said the 153 is different and used a crank with a smaller dia so it used a smaller bearing and race. You can run a .404x7 sprocket on a 153 and a .404x8 is the smallest you can run on a 152/6000
