That's a good idea about the free end being wrapped in a biner I was checking out the super static this morning.

A munter hitch will give you a little more friction and control, too, and you don' even have to carry that heavy eight up. Less weight, Tramp!

My rescue 8 is aluminum and doesn't weigh much. . Thing I like about the 8 is its easy to lock off. I would be a bit paranoid repelling with just a Munter hitch.

Yeah, I was tempted to buy the hank I looked at, because it was a good deal for so much rope. If I'd had a justifiable use for it I would have bought.

Ya. I do need to get a bunch more arborist gear. Another saddle. Not that there is anything wrong with my Cougar. But I like having 2 complete climbing outfits. Need to get tree gaffs for my Bashlins. I'm thinking I may just get a 600' spool of line so I'm trying to decide before I make the investment. . . I see Bailey's has line onsale. They get me on the shipping tho. Where as WesSpur has great prices And they are great on the shipping. . Plus they are very helpful on the phone. .
