if its a traditional Land Rover, that includes new ones, (not a later range rover, disco 2 3 4 or freelander) the only reason a wheel would "fall off" is because of abuse, neglect or stupidity! they are a full floating axle design. Anything can be broken, stupid normally wins....

No no no according to the experts here its allways the vehicles fault mate

I think it typical of 95% of guys to bag other brands and blame any problem on that other brands manufacture. I like some things from each manufacture...and hate some things about my Landy.

After there being nearly 15 Land Rovers in our family over 55 years, from a 1948 swb through to a 2008 model, they all lasted, performed & worked really well with very little modification from standard.
My bros have alloy wheeled ones & they often have trouble getting the wheel nuts off.

nothing to do with manufacturer, My mums VW and Audi wagons had the same trouble. Its simply dissimilar metals, the alloy corrodes a little locking up the wheel nuts etc.

We are in a coastal environment here so that makes it even worse, they have to use anti seize liberally.

Any one got any info on the Tillotson HS 208 B carby please , Ive got an IPL but after how to set the Speed Govnor and setting please

Hi fellas. Will be dropping more Saligna soon. Some of the tree trunks have some prominent wavy lumps (like speed bumps or ripple strips on a road) and I'm not sure if that is simply a juvenile tree with some serious tension and is screaming "don't mill me" or if it might be worth slabbing to see what's going on under the surface. The ripples on most of them that have them, seem to start about 6m up.
It's a bit difficult to explain. I might get some photos but perhaps you guys know exactly what I mean and already know it's crap wood only good for firewood.

It should be an interesting block to work on, this next one. Will be dropping pine, Redwood, Poplar, Gum, Japanese Cedar, and maybe a Himalayan cedar. Talk about a licorice all sorts type of mixed bag.
