Other media types - crushed nut shells, corn cobs, baking soda. if parts were previously powder coated or expoxied types best to use chemical removal first.

I've had a harbor freight one for 5 years and works, I have a good size shop vac hooked to it to pull the dust out. The black beads are too aggressive got aluminum, better off with the white glass beads

I just got one. Walnut shell media does a great job on carbon removal without harming the plate or aluminum.

Takes forever and not to great on cleaning the jug up itself.

I have a bench top HF model. After sealing it up.......it works great.

I had a HF blaster, and yes if you buy this one seal it up good. Mine leaked like a sieve.

I have a fairly large trinco unit set up with a 55 cf compressor/ 180gal tank . I never run out of pressure.

I have the luxury of using a bead blaster at work. They supply glass beads, which seems to have done great work. Bragging aside it has been very useful for cleaning flywheels, mufflers, and jugs very quickly
