I've had a harbor freight one for 5 years and works, I have a good size shop vac hooked to it to pull the dust out. The black beads are too aggressive got aluminum, better off with the white glass beads

I have the luxury of using a bead blaster at work. They supply glass beads, which seems to have done great work. Bragging aside it has been very useful for cleaning flywheels, mufflers, and jugs very quickly

Not a great picture but you get the gist. I worked in our sandblasting shed. Talk about a dirty job.
