Pine tar

What can I, or should I do about the pine tar on my equipment? By the time I was at the top of the tree, I could not slide the Prusik. Even my flipline was hard to move. Or will it come off as I use it?

Took down a large pine today , a good 80' White pine. Left the stubs. Topped it, then chunked it down. Man do those stubs get in the way. Check out the pics, they are not the best. Please tell me what you think.

You left some big stubs.

I like to leave two or three right at the top as a work platform to stand on while I take the top out. Then cut them as close to the trunk as possible, even a short stub will put a hole in the yard, cut them off close and there won't be as many holes to fix.

Yep. It will more than likely be gone after you run it through your next tree.
