Andy,
What you use the thodolite for? you an amateur surveyor or like to know how high trees are by using trigonometry formulas? I have turned a few angles with one of those.

Hmmm,

In the past month, Karen hasn't found opportunity to run her birthday saw (a Dolmar 401) so I dunno if she'd be happy with yet another one. IF I did get her a backup saw for it, it's to be a MS192 rear-handle.

I think that Grandbaby Emily has a real good chance of getting a MS260 Pro for her first christmas/birthday. She'll love it I'm sure, once she gets used to the vibes and the air filtration <insert rollingeyes smiley>

Thats because she slap you down and said she wears the pants and she's the only one that can handle the husky lineup

Naw, she may like that high rpm powerband though. Maybe that is why women run them, they use a great amount of finesse, otherwise the chain would stop.:chainsaw:

She will take the Stihl, thank ya, thank ya very much.

This one is a transit. They are getting cheap (used) now - without full ground station capabilites and lazer range finding, yesterday's gold is today's brass.. I paid $200, and $25 for the stand... Amazing optics. Heck you can barely buy a decent set of levels for that price.

I use it for general construction, finding the propery lines, ploting exact positions of trees, buildings etc, and and now for measuring the height of trees. No more guessing in marginal situlations! Just need to dust off my scientific calc and math skills.

I would like to find one (cheap) with lazer range finding though...

Andy,
That is a really good deal on a topcon transit, those are good instruments. A replacement lens for my Zeiss NI2 level is more than that. Have fun with it.

My point of view

I wuv my 440. And, if a certain person were to be so rude as to get me a saw for Christmas, well that is the model size it better be! :chainsaw: I'd rather get a fiberglass or really fast plastic 16 foot or longer kayak for Christmas. And maybe some racks to haul it on my pickup.
