"Actually I am in central Oh. Just a little bit east of Columbus, in the Pickerington area. Mt vernon isn't too far off."

If you aren't too far from Newark, there is a Husqvarna dealer there that's a pretty big outfit. I've bought a few items from them. I talked to one of their techs last time I was in there. They actually test run all the saws they sell and add some fuel to them so they aren't running lean. He mentioned this cut warrantee returns back to next to nothing as far as P/C damage was concerned.

I don't remember the name of the place, but they are just off 21st steet a few blocks North of Main......Cliff

Well, it is done. I did find a red dealer, but I didn't go see him. I wasn't sure of his hours and had already committed to the Stihl. I know the husky and reds are basically the same, I'd buy the red first, not because of performance, just I like red better than orange. Now, I went to the dealer today and shoot, he had all the Stihls lined up there just waiting for my meathooks to grab hold! I did add the 460 to the mix, and looked it over in the store, and after seeing the size and then hearing the 441 I realized, that for a cool 130 bucks more for the 460, this 441 is gonna do just fine for my duties. Its a big boy and I did get a chance to run it through some wood out back... mymymy very smooth and slick thru that stuff!

Thanks for everyones advice and input, I learned a lot about the saw in a very short period of time and it helped me a whole bunch.

hopefully i can get this pic to work on here... BTWdealer thru in a gallon of the new winter mix bar oil, a 8 pack of gas oil, and a chain! Just gettin me started off right i guess.

Congratulations on the saw purchase and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. I don't have much personal experience with them, but they get good accolades on this site.

Well, I've seen some remarks about the 441 that lend me to believe the writers don't care for them, but I've never owned an old 441 so I really have no idea what the heck they are talking about. I do know that if the govt. is gonna force the saw makers to make them with less emissions (why?) then I really don't have a say in it. I sure can't blame the maker for it, and I'm pretty sure that stihl isn't gonna send out a bad saw, at least I hope so... Just from the little bit I got to run it so far, I really like it. Now that's coming from a guy who has never run a big saw like these, just over run the little ones! I'm thankful for all the remarks tho. I can tell that the members on this site are the pros!
