I dont quite live in the sticks and not really in the city either..i guess they call it the suburbs , but pittsburgh is an odd area , from downtown you can drive 15 minutes and get on some roads that would make you think your in a hank williams music video and then appear in civilization again
anyway..i know dogs are good deterents however , in my area heroin and pills are about as easy to buy as a loaf of bread and milk which naturally puts theft through the roof..the walmart 8 miles from my home had the highest retail theft in the nation for a few years.. there is actually a police station in the same building as the walmart , there was a gang of guys robbin about anything they could and had it down to a science..they would carry some sort of animal sedative to eliminate the dog factor..crazy i know..around here i keep them locked up good and make sure the local thieves know we have small army of guns and a promise for an ass beating that would leave them sorry they even made the effort , since about 2003 when the narcotics hit hard its just been on the rise year by year , prior to that year i thought nothing of leaving my windows down and the keys in the ignition with a book of CD's on the seat and whatever else was there..i wouldnt dream of it now..its an epidemic here , every telephone pole has a " have an addiction problem " poster along with a phone number stapled to it... it seems no matter the effort you make the thieves come up with a new scheme..i hope i never get hit , id be crushed to lose all the money in saws.
