Location
Ned and Wild’s fight site Vic. Australia.
I fitted a ported big bore kit Bailey's barrel and meteor piston to a new 365.
My intentions are to eventually fit a complete aftermarket kit ported to this saw.
It's only had a rough tune at this stage and in the video I'm cutting Yellowbox which is one of our tough hardwoods.
I'll get another video in the next day or two as I was running out of daylight.

Ooooh. Ring pin location change and pop up! Lovely.
What's with the cut fuel line Al? Did you steal it or something and have to make a quick getaway ;)

Why didn't you video the other 20 cuts in the log?

"cut fuel line" you had me there! :D Had to go back through the pics. That's what's left over from the missuses Beemer fuel pump. :msp_thumbup:

You've been porting a Beemer chainsaw on your bench? Dude you're the coolest bloke ever. Like, you know, awesome and stuff ;)

No silly, he's been porting the fuel pump for her car so it delivers more fuel faster to the engine.

The faster the fuel, the faster the engine, get it ?

Still awfully cool and such though. ;)

Ah ha Rick, I get it. It's like forced induction via the fuel pump. Smart thinking Al, post some burnouts.

Al will want to watch working on a few different things on his bench at once. This 365 could end up with a 318i engine if he's not careful. I'm sure he'd realise he's stuffed up though when he goes to fit the radiator and there are no mounting points.

Oh you blokes are so funny! :D

Your work looks awesome Al,
Nothing as hard as yellow box around here, but do have 2 broken chisels in my shop trying to turn the wood.
Never did finish it, so cut that log to its death for me and my 2 chisels!
Nice work and keep them pictures coming!!!

What Rick stated isn't funny Al, it's pure genius. If you can somehow inject fuel at 35,000psi it is bound to have the same pressurising effect to the cylinder as a turbo or blower running at 10psi.

As evidenced by the cut fuel line and Al's "Beemer" excuse he probably didn't do the porting on this one mate but pinched it from somebody who knew what they were doing.

Nah mate, I ported it, but didn't know what I was doing!

All good, at the end of the day it is who owns the saw that is cutting like that.
Never been much to try porting, leave that to the others that I buy my from.
Step by step with a IPL is my cup of tea (or keystone, I keep it smooth!).
Any thing over a IPL is just art amazing to me.

Sorry mate, missed your post there for a minnie, but thanks.

Don't listen to Matt the master hijacker/#### stirer and his side kick! :D Trying to have a serious thread going here as usual!

Nice Al, but I got a question. That intake port is lovely, nice great big 'gulp factor' upon opening - however, I notice that the carb/manifold on the other end of it will only feed about 1/3 of of the opening in the jug - so, like, where did you hide the extra carb to feed that port?

I'm hurt Al, that cut deep. Rick just rang me crying as well. Please think of other people's feelings before posting such careless comments.

But yeah, if I was misunderstood Al did port that top end  I've run his self modded 371XP and can say one thing for sure, this hillbilly knows his stuff
