Here's a fine example of Stihl's 064. The mailman dropped it off a few days ago and now it's ready to go back home.

Just a tad over 145psi when I started on the old girl. We're gonna fix that though. :D

I gotta say everytime Mastermind meets something it seems to be extra angry when it leaves. I wonder what he does to those poor saws to get them so upset!?!?!?!

The stock numbers were a bit surprising to me.

Exhaust: 100° FTDC = 160° Duration
Transfers: 119° FTDC = 19° Blowdown
Intake: 72° FTDC = 144° Duration
Squish: .035

I dropped the jug and cut a .030 popup leaving the squish at .023... I really didn't want this saw pushing 200psi. As many here know the base is thinner on the 064 than the later 066/660 so I'm staying on the side of caution.

My finished numbers were:

Exhaust: 99° FTDC = 162° Duration
Transfers: 117° FTDC = 18° Blowdown
Intake: 80° FTDC = 160° Duration

Where's the vids???????

Sorry for the delay. I just got back from a concert. :)

Here's the saw stock with a 7 pin rim. It's fast through this poplar...

After port work and a popup, 8 pin rim. It's really no faster in this small poplar.

I didn't have any larger wood to test it in. :(

I forgot to take many pics on this build. I've gotten really busy repairing local saws with firewood season in full swing. I'll try to do better on the next build. :(
