Hello everyone
Have an old Husqvarna 435 that I am trying to get running again. Here's what's happening. I prime the bulb put the choke on pull the cord to start it and it will run for a split second and then shut off like it's supposed to. then I shut the choke off go to start it and it will not start again unless the choke is on and I prime it again. It is as if it does not want to suck fuel on its own. If I prime the primer bulb again it will run for a second then die.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I agree with both of you but the carburetor is brand new and the fuel lines are brand new along with the fuel filter. I just replaced all of them. Also air filter is new along with spark plug.

After further investigation today I found a little tear in the intake manifold. A new one is on the way..
Could this have caused that problem.? I am thinking it was sucking air instead of fuel
