Where's a good place to buy the basics? Especially carabiners

Why on earth would you want cheap, when it comes to life support? Don't be Cheap, be Smart! Even Minimalists need quality gear! If nothing else, place a WTB in TreeBay. I'm sure you'll find what you want from the fellowship here!

    Raffle For AS Member "hoskvarna"

Just a little question, but. Why isn't there any backing for shelving, or are you just going with free standing, instead? Like I said, just a small question! It's starting to look almost comfortable! Great job!!!

    Help me get unscrewed...

If you don't want the saw, you can contact eBay customer service and file a formal complaint, they will get you your money back and shut down the seller for a period of 30 days, it's quite the incentive to motivate the seller. Had to do this a year or so, ago! That's the eBay A to Z guarantee...

    Another Great Experience

Well, I placed an online order from TS.com for some "New Gear", and "LukesFloor", last night. Everything went as smooth as silk, as always! I may not buy as much as most of you folks, but for a 1 man operation, I just crested the $3,000 mark this year. Not to mention the $2,400 mark from others...

    Used stihl 280 opinions....

That's definitely a good looking saw. Are you able to take a peek inside the cylinder (through plug hole, or muffler?) chain brake assembly shouldn't be too hard to find around here. Good find,A...

Considering reducing crew size to one

Yep, Miko. I ran 3 crews of 3 each. 1 Certified Climber, & 1-2 groundsmen/ laborer. I just couldn't take the stress any longer. Now, I have 1-2 guys that I can call to help as groundsmen/laborer. My take home pay is not far off, after W/C, State/Federal, FICA, etc, etc, etc. I also have a lot...

Any way to tell the year of 015L?

If it's any consolation, I've got 40-45 of the "Old Girls", I've converted quite a few of them to 3/8" lo pro, electronic ignition and I love running them. They are just unstoppable little work horses! If you ever find that you need parts, give me a holler. They run really good with a 14" B&C...

    Want to Buy gaffs

Jacrawley already purchased the Buckinghams from me, for what I thought was a great price, now I've gained a little space for other goodies in my climbing room. Now I need to sell some redundant gear that never gets used. All in time. I don't want to sell something that I may use on a whim. But...

    Want to Buy gaffs

I paid $175 for the setup and $26 for each pair of extra gaffs, but I just want to get rid of them. How's $100+ 1/2 shipping sound for everything?

    Want to Buy gaffs

If you want pics let me know, just tired of seeing them in my climbing room. I've got 2 extra sets of tree gaffs that go with them.

    Want to Buy gaffs

What kind of gaffs are you looking for? I've got a set of Buckinghams w/L pads that I've never used. I run w/Kiwis.

    Chainsaw/Spare Chain Storage Ideas

Too funny Rockjock, when I moved from Cali to WI, I stopped at 5 or 6 different stores and picked up over 150 of these containers, they fill and stack nicely. I use them in my shop, and basement to store spare parts and they stack really nicely when they're empty. I think I've got 40-50 empties...

Just another tree id. Looks easy to id, but it wasn't.

Are you Shitten Me? Really Gu? Ya think?

Just another tree id. Looks easy to id, but it wasn't.

The reason I suggested the Foxglove is for the fact that I had several of them at my house in CA, they wouldn't make it for 1 winter here in WI. They are gorgeous almost all year long on the west coast. I planted 4 of them 16 years ago less than 250' from the Pacific, they loved the summer fog...
