My 361 and Dozer had a disagreement. The Dozer won. How bad is this? How much is this going to cost to fix? It actually ran but all the gas leaked out of it

How will porting affect its performance?

Porting the saw along with rebuild is not a big $$ concern but i'm not interested in a "screaming engine in the red" when doing chores....

So I'm thinking then spending 350-plus shipping to have it rebuilt and professionally ported would make sense? rather than a new 261 C-M

I actually don't recall exactly, but thought it was around that. If I was mistaken it was unintended. I know I paid retail at the time. Maybe they meant its current value. But I got the sense that they were discouraging its repair.

I'm kind of a Stihl guy and like the dealer.

Guestimate is around $300 to repair. They will give me an exact figure later

Not sure about the carb. Were there different versions? This saw is probably 4 years old.

I severely damaged my 260 Pro. Was wondering if Stihl makes a comparable model to replace it with. I heard the newer saws are not as good. Any guidance much appreciated. Rob
