    Mulberry

Mulberry is a good burning wood,...just hard for my neck of the woods. After the flood in '99, I had to remove about 5 well-developed mulberry trees, and a few other fruit trees and burn them because they all died out from something going wrong in the soil after the flood. The wood put out a...

Newbie on the Hunt for long bar

On that note, why would it not be possible to sell a "blank bar", where all you would have to do is machine out the mounting holes, and place in the tension adjuster and oil holes, I mean that is for those who actually know what they are doing?

    Bars with built in tensioner.

I only use it because it came on my neighbor's saw. But I am tempted to scavange parts off of my old electric poluan and try to mount it on his saw(also a gas poulan  ...yeah I know it's a POS but it's what we could afford at the time)

    Sharpening Poll

Although I still am not very good at it, I hand file. I just have to keep practicing till I get the technique right.

Felling bar for in the tree?

That would work perfectly for such an action. The hole in it would allow you to hang it from your belt. :)

    New Member-Old Saw

The poulan that my neighbor owns says 40:1(5 years old), considering that it has sat for a while and the new oils tend to lubricate better, you should be fine.

Biodegradable bar oil...... anybody use it?

Aye! Right in the money maker. I mean a gallon of standard Chain and Bar lube will run you about 3-4 dollars if I remember correctly, or basically the price for an average gal of veggie oil.

    Expansion Chamber

I realize that there is a lot of science behind it, I just designed it based on some of the designs that I had seen in the past.

    Expansion Chamber

Thanks. I've never designed one before, and I just designed it out of boredom this morning. I also realize that it was lacking the angle there. The program is new to me and I am having to re-learn CAD design. If I was building it, I would have included that in the design.

    Expansion Chamber

Sorry to drag up an old thread but, while sitting here at my computer today, I decided to design my own expansion chamber. It is just a very basic design ( give me credit, I'm new to this), and I wanted to know what I could/should change, and overall just give me some feedback on it. Sorry about...

Just my opinion but what about welding on some industrial D-rings and use them to secure irregularly shaped logs to? Otherwise, it is awesome. sample d-ring
