Bunch of BS, He may have changed the sprocket, or not, comes down to some like a 7 some like 8, and some times you have to run one or the other depending on what bar and chains you have around. But if the saw has a 7 it no way means its been over worked, just check the saw out good and thats it...

the other thing is a 084 with a 32 inch 404 stihl bar is a heavy mother, the 394 with a 32 3/8 carlton is quite a bit lighter / feels like 5 pds diff

id say he means 9000. 9010 and 9000 are two diff saws, very close to the same saw, but not so close if you want to make a 9000 into a 9010, quite a few differances, jug and piston I suspect might swap over not sure though

agree with that too, I would be willing to bet if we all went and checked the same saw with our gauge and way of doing things , there would be at least a 20 psi diff in our readings in alot of cases, not all but alot imo
