394 update! Tried her out today, excellent

Took the 394 out today I got from a member, got the saw to replace my 084, 084 too damn heavy. This 394 rocks, glad i went with it instead of the 395. Super low rpm grunt, did three removal jobs today and with a 32 inch bar you put it in the wood it pulls like a mofo.
Pulls down but doesnt give up, no stalling just torque and alot easier to handle than a 084. I hate a high rpm saw that you have to baby to keep from stalling and this one is great.

Is the 394 really that much lighter than an 084?

If the 084 weighs close to a 3120 like I remember them being then it's almost 5 lbs powerhead weight. I liked the 394 better than the 395 myself.

the other thing is a 084 with a 32 inch 404 stihl bar is a heavy mother, the 394 with a 32 3/8 carlton is quite a bit lighter / feels like 5 pds diff

I run mine in my granberg mill, your right, it just plain grunts its way through the work, never #####es or complains, just gets thirsty after a few long cuts.
