    Stihl 026 oil line

This line can be replaced with the black Stihl fuel line, or the Echo fuel line. The cost of the replacement from my dealer is $3.00 plus tax. Hope this helps.

    Stihl Aftermarket Parts Review

Take the aftermarket rewind cover, replace the pawls with OEM and install a Elasto Start rope kit. I believe you will find everything will be OK then.

I've not had good fortune with the chinese bearings. My MS390 kit had bearing failure after around 5 tanks. For me these bearings will always be replaced with better quality bearings.

    026 adjustable oiler upgrade

For some you are right. Some operators can't wrap their mind around the fact that "more oil" is not a bad thing. The more oil I'm speaking of is the old style oiler which oils as soon as the saw is cranked. A thought for the OP is -- changing this oiler is not going to eliminate "drip down"...

    026 adjustable oiler upgrade

Its not a difficult up grade. Remember the clutch is left hand threads, and you will need a piston stop to break the clutch free (dont use anything metal). The quality of the aftermarket pumps from some sellers is not bad. I've seen them as cheap as $15.00 for the pump, sometimes less. The...

    MS661C Muffler Mod Testing

It is baffling to me that they even put the baffle into the muffler. But I'm baffled by many things that engineers do at times. The other baffling thing is that those of us with basic small engine skills can't understand placing the baffles into the mufflers. All this is simply baffling!

    Refurbished Stihl 260's on ebay?

So if one desires to sell these saws, and certain ones decide to buy these saws -- they are priced by the seller, purchased by the buyer at the "stated price" -- is there a problem with that??:reading:

Would it be possible to put the brass bushings in these covers like the OEM ones? You think that would solve it?

Is there some reason why the filter box cover looks crooked (or is it these old eyes)? Not being cynical -- otherwise a very nice looking saw :picture:

I know these can be made without the aid of a lathe -- and the illustration was to show us that it can be done for the average joe. I appreciate the illustration. If I had access to a lathe, I would certainly want to make a set that were precision enough to keep for a lifetime. Would you be...

So did we put the plug in just to plug the decomp hole? (Just checking). The plugs for these are fairly inexpensive (decomp plugs that is). Looks like you did a good job getting it back together from what I can see.

    Stihl 044 Saw Tuner/Mechanic

When the guy reassembles -- have him use some type of sealer (yamabond or anerobic gasket sealer). I'd go with an OEM gasket seal kit since it has to come all the way apart.

Not bad sir. So you cleaned up the port chamfers and slicked up the transfers. Actually this saw runs pretty well in the video. Is it wearing a dual port for the muffler? (It is just a little rich at 13,000 but not bad). I like what I see.
