    Craigslist Husqvarna 3120 questions....

I’m almost ready to make a final decision. The guy selling the saw says HE is a shop. I can probably get a look at the cylinder, compression etc... I’d be saving about 400 bucks... so I’m thinking I’ll at least look at the CL 3120.

    Craigslist Husqvarna 3120 questions....

I have a granburg mill I used with a stihl 660. The 660 is too small for the big redwood logs I’m working on (and only borrowed). I’m shopping and saw this 3120. I thought I would try to get some gut reactions. I’m planning to check for scoring, compression, etc... before I pull the trigger.

    Gas dumped on me

Thanks. I found a thread. http://arboristsite.com/chainsaw/45911.htm I know I think my saw is "special" but I guess I should always check for threads before I post something.

    Gas dumped on me

When I turn my 029 super so that the gas and oil caps face the ground, I get gas dripping out. I tightened the gas cap and observed it carefully. Its coming from elsewhere than the gas cap. I thought cracked gas lines or cracked tank. I couldn't resist tearing into it and now I need help...

I understand good oil and no ethanol but other than that does that mean no ARCO gas? Chevron? Octane rating?

I discovered it is adjustable and I have it turned up. I cleaned the bar up real well. I'm thinking it may be just the right amount of oil and no extra for that 20" bar.

Pictures of cylinder/rings. Thanks again. Thanks for all your help. Very kind. Ok, so I got the muffler off and I don't see any grooves or anything. There is some really very faint vertical rubbing I can make out. Probably normal? I can still see all the crosshatching in cylinder. I don't know...

buyers remorse mitigation plea from non-pro part-time farmer-type.

When I described my latest garage sale impulse buy my Dad's first words were, "caveat emptor." Can you put my buyers remorse to rest? I paid $175. I've needed a farm saw so I bought a Stihl 029 super and I'm aware they don't make this one anymore. It seems to start and idle great at...
