I had some big ones from the neighor. My splitter does not have a table or lift so I lifted them up with my loader and split and they fell to the ground rinse repeat. THat was work, would of been much faster to noodle or split them into quarters or something I could handle. Definately bring...

What would cause the starter rope on my splitter to do this?

Dont put oil on it use a dry lube. I oiled one once and the oil caused it to stick a bit and it didn't work. I think it was the type with little balls in it but it's been a long time. Chad

Seems like they last longer up north, Central Ohio seems to be about 4 years or so it gets a little warmer here so they break down a little faster. Chad

    Well.. **** on a stick!

My brother forgot to prelube a bearing like that once and got about 30 mi before it melted to the axle, not sure why it does not go in there easily but we fill the space between the bearings with oil before we slide hub on axle too. We always usee oil to prelube it. Chad

    Bar choices for 395xp

I do have the stihl 3/8 and the adapter bar will also go on the 460 so I guess I was thinking keep the same size for all. I did not look for sure but do not want to have to change out rim sprocket when changing bars etc. The 28" it came with has a .050 chain. Chad

Does owning a dump trailer make financial sense

If you only have use for it hauling firewood you can get about 10 years of wood delivered for the same cost let alone all the work cutting wood etc. it won't really pay but if you do odd jobs and need it for other stuff it may have some utility for you. If you get adump truck/trailer I would...

What is a lifetime? As far as warranty goes?

I have been posting on this subject in more than one forum and decided to write them back after thinking about all of the responses I have received. I figure a straight forward approach and explaining what I do with their product would better make them understand The long term effect of standing...

    Storing/stacking Euro sized wood

Around here pallets are free for hauling just slide one over the posts. Big long 8 footers easy to come by too. Slide or lean up aginst the post and fill it up They are ridgid and make a fence of sorts. Either cut in half and use them or burn when done

    Storing/stacking Euro sized wood

How about putting the stacks one pallet length apart throw down another pallet and stack the shorts on that. Chad

    Storing/stacking Euro sized wood

What about stacking 2 rows of regular firewood a couple feet apart so you can drive between them and throwing the little pieces in between the rows. When you burn it just work you way down the rows mixing long and short or cleaning out the small stuff first. Whatever works better. Chad

anyone have a mikita chain saw

I have the 64cc and I really runs. Little hard to start when it's hot and you run it dry but I think I may need a new plug or wire. It's a little heavy for the small stuff but great in the big stuff. Chad
