When a Husqvarna is not a Husqvarna

That husky 35 looks just like a spartan I've got. I'll try to dig up a pic

    Help with 460 Rancher

Just a thought... if your piston has alot of visible carbon around the top on the exhaust side it wouldn't be a bad idea to check the ring. I've seen the rings in the 455-460 ranchers stick in their groove and kill the compression. Like I said though. Just something I check whenever I get one of...

    Workshop manual 576xp

I'll have to visit my husky online source. I'm sure it's available now. This was 4 years ago lol. I've been a husqvarna tech for 3 so I should be able to nab one if it's still needed. Just hit me up.

    Crankstuffers in a 372?

No not really Brad I was just wanting to try it out lol. I picked up one of those wiseco pistons and hybrid bearings sets for the camouflage 372xp I was working on a whiiiile back. I'm finally getting back around to it. I had got some advice from you before on porting that 372. did you change up...

    Crankstuffers in a 372?

Well the saw in question at least for me will be a more race then work saw. the high rpm PowerBand created by the stuffed crank would actually help, but I'm just wondering if I should actually mill the crankcase out a little to make them work.

    Crankstuffers in a 372?

And here it is a little over a year later and I'm still wondering if anybody has successfully done this. I tried the same thing and had the same results as o.p. I think 1mm or less on each side of the crank case should be more than enough for clearance. just a speculation though.

    Chain Breaker Adjustable Anvils

The one i use in my shop is real similar to the one pictured except it has a ditch for the cutter to fit down in so it isn't sitting cattywompas. I think it's an Oregon though. I could post pics Monday if needed

    Ok so I camo'd a 372

That looks really nice. Anybody can do this and I encourage y'all to try it. The hardest part is cleaning and prepping it. If someone wants to try it I'll be more than happy to help you through the process and give pointers. Super easy to do and makes a horrible looking saw into a good looking...

    Full Crank vs. Stuffed Crank

what did that go in jeremiah? looks alot like a 372 crank. trying to 576xp stuffers to fit a 372xp. they only needed slight modding to fit the crank but seem too tight when putting the case back together. anybody know the crankcase volumes of these two saws? i know the stroke is the same but...

    Ok so I camo'd a 372

no no rburtcher... this isn't like that. it comes as a film, sort of like window tint. mostly see through. you put the film on top of the water and let it set for 2 minutes and then spray with activator and then dip. the longest part of the procedure is cleaning and prepping the parts and...

    Ok so I camo'd a 372

Here's a little update on the rest of the saw. Got the crank case halves done, gas tank, and both covers. I think it looks really good. Haven't done the clear coat yet but it still looks decent.

While this saw will be nice looking, it's also going to be a ported snorting beast. I'm trying to work out a full circle crank and a few other little goodies. The looks are just a plus because it's a saw. It's still gotta cut to be worth a hill of beans. :)

    Ok so I camo'd a 372

Lol you guys are too kind. Hopefully it'll be a hit around here. As stated its called hydrographics or water transfer printing. This pattern is real tree tree stand with a blaze base coat. Super simple to do and oh man did it doll this old girl up a lot. The magnesium will need self etching...

    Ok so I camo'd a 372

I'm building a 372 Xp to run in a local competition next year and the donor saw was ... Less than beautiful. Wanted to try this for a long time. Dipped the top covers but still needs clear coat. What do y'all think so far. I've split the case and will be dipping it and side covers as well.

    Husky 350 - questions/upgrades

healthy compression on a normal husky chainsaw is supposed to be 115-175psi. so 90lbs is pretty low. a new piston and cylinder is in order and you might want to make sure your seals are good. watsonr should still carry a really nice aftermarket 346xp kit. check him out.
