372 XP X-Torq Rebuild

At work I've inherited a saw that needed rebuilt onto a new crankcase. I didn't get the full history of the saw, I know it had issues with screws vibrating out of place so much so that a new crankcase was ordered as a potential fix.
Here's my issue. I dismantled all the parts off the old crankcase and got most of them reattached to the new crankcase. As of this morning with the saw mostly assembled I could get it to start and run briefly. I got it to start maybe 8 times in an hour and longest I could get it to run was 20 seconds. FYI this saw has not been ran in 2 years. I figured I would attach the rest of the parts and then make more attempts to getting it to run.

Here's what I perceive to be my main issue. I can "start" the saw currently but the clutch is not on. As soon as I screw/twist my clutch onto the crankshaft I can no longer pull my startercord, nor can I manually move my flywheel. The whole crankshaft seems to freeze. When I take the clutch off again I am able to again move the flywheel/ pull my startercord. I happen to have a spare 372 XP x torq that I've been pulling screws/parts from as needed and I had the same result trying the clutch from my spare 372 on my actual project 372. I am well experienced using saws but am in no way a mechanic. Anyone have any ideas on what I could be doing wrong here?

Sounds like you’re missing something. Take a picture of the clutch side of the saw with the clutch off and with the clutch installed and I’ll have a better idea of what’s going on.
 
I've had this happen on outboard clutches when the drum won't stay seated in the worm, but with inboard I'm not sure. Will keep an eye on this for your solution.
 
Okay gathered some photos. I think I see the potential problem.
Pic 1- This picture is of Saw B ( The retired saw I get parts from when needed for project saw A)

SO looking at these three "saws" I'm wondering if there's a part to this rebuild I was unaware of. Underneath the oil pump on Saw B and C you can see a thick band around the crankshaft. On the parts list it's just called "sleeve"
503 77 91-01 SLEEVE
503 26 30-19 O-RING
It looks like Saw A does not have this sleeve. I would assume the O-Ring under it is missing as well. If I go one more part in reverse this part is listed as under the O-Ring.
5 585 97 50-01 BALL BEARING
All that being said does anyone have an idea? Looking at the parts diagram I can't quite tell if the ball bearing sits on the outside or inside of the crankcase and I'm unsure if that's a piece I'm missing at the moment or not ( if it sits on the inside I would assume it came preinstalled on this crankcase); however, I'm inclined to believe I am missing the o-ring and sleve.

And IF that were the problem is this something an amateur could take care of - do I need to order these parts - is there a way to remove them from SAW B or C and install on Saw A?
Do you think the problem lies elsewhere?
