My 372 oiler are far from maxxed out with a 24", so 28" shouldn't be a problem at all for the oiler.

I agree with Niko. To the OP,,,, FWIW... My ported 372XP wearing a reduced weight 28" is 4 turns out on the oiler and oils plenty and still has more adjustment,,, In fact, I don't think it would have a problem with a 32" in conifers of any species or hard wood with the right touch and a sharp chain... JMHO if you are continually in 30+" hard wood a 85-90CC saw in a bucking application would be my ticket,,,, Just sayin

I like running a 28" for most stuff even small wood like 6" stuff since there's no bending and reaching.
