I don't care either, It was deal, $429 for one and the other I used the ebay coupon and got a partial refund.
Me too, it’s a 2013 model but clearly it’s never been ran. I’m happy for what I paid for. $450 shipped to my door with 24” bar and chain, can’t beat that with a stick! It’s gona get torn a part right a way to get made into an XPW anyway. Only dislike of mine is the fuel tank is a little darker than the rest but that’s not completely out of the norm

Both of mine are 2016 models.

pics of the 2166, obvious it's used. When Husqvarna/Jonsered refurbishes a saw they melt an "R" on the bottom of the item so a dealer knows it's not new, never used. Also a refurbished saws comes with a 30day warranty. A new Jonsered saw comes with a 2 Yr warranty. I just called Husqvarna/Jonsered 800-487-5951, spoke to a Doug. An item with a R melted in the bottom is a refurb this was stated from a Husqvarna representative and I just called the local Jonsered dealer Hillside Power and they said the same thing.....it's a refurb. My friend just purchased a refurbished Husqvarna 440 arrived in a certified husky refurb box and guess what it has a melted R in the bottom of the tank here are the pics to prove it. The seller wildcats46 replied quote "
The chainsaw you received is brand new straight from the Husqvarna manufacturer. The R means it doesn't come with a warranty.

All factory certified refurbished saws come direct from????? The factory

A factory refurb is discounted 40-50% because of the warranty and scuffs on the machine

Just got home to check and both of the 2255s I got are clearly not new, not in oem packaging and R melted into bottom. So to answer your question @chipper1 Yes, he did lie, it's obvious these are refurbished saws.

Thanks for posting that information, it is very helpful to know what the R is on there for.

So when a truck dealer is advertising a "NEW" truck online at a great price for a "new" truck. You buy it, when you pick it up it has 6k miles on it, couple scratches, oh and it's been previously registered but it came from the factory and it has new tires. Do you still think you got a good deal?
