What's the general consensus on the Echo 620P? How does it compare with Husqvarna and Stihl Pro saws in the 60cc class?

I have one and I love it!! This is opinion but I believe it the best 60cc for the money with many desired pro features. Plenty of videos out there comparing the 590 and 620 to other saws twice the price and doing just fine if not better in areas. But for the money it's a nice saw with plenty of parts support on the web if needed.

I currently own one for about 2 yrs now cutting 10+ cord a yr and love it I actually owned a stihl 290 and 390 and sold both and bought the echo and don’t regret it one bit tree guy that I work with one the side has a 590 a 620 and a bunch of other stihls and echos and unless I’m running the ms660 I don’t bother to pick up a stihl i like running the echos better plus my dealer will work with me quite a bit on price too. Good luck

Agree, really tough to beat these saws. Just plain run and run. One thing I didn't mention is how easy they start!! I'm always 2 pulls to start.. a couple times it's been 3 but mostly 2.

I've had a CS-620P for quite a while. It's an early model and the IPL shows different parts than later versions, specifically the P/C and coil. Going from memory the later 600's used the same P/C as the CS-590's and may use the rev-limiting coil as well. That still wouldn't scare me away from one, excellent design and a Pro saw in every respect.

Mine is a strong runner and has been flawless now for quite a few years. I run a 24" Husky bar on mine and use it to take down a lot of these dead Ash trees we have in our area......Cliff

Part numbers for the p/c and coil are now different from the 590 per the parts list but I haven't verified that myself. But like you said, no reason for that to cause concern because that damn 590 is a little workhorse!!

How did you get husky bars on the echo?? That is the one thing that kinda bugs me about the echo is the 176 tail mount.

There are also bar adapters that allow the Stihl 3003 mount (~12mm wide slot in bar) to be run on the Echo CS-590 / 600P / 620P saws (with 8mm diameter bar studs).

I bought an adapter from AS member @Homelite410. The adapter was excellent quality and in my use has worked flawlessly for Stihl 12mm bars to be mounted to my CS-590. I haven't had any issues with bar oiling with no modifications to the stock Stihl 3003 bar.

Old thread with bar adapter info. https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/all-in-one-stihl-bar-adapter.244840/

Here are some photos of the adapter alone, and then in use on my saw.

Thanks @m21bmr , I understand completely now.
All I need to do is find what chains are commonly sold locally,
as I have been told Echo / Sugihara is for a 20 bar for example is not the same as Stihl for a 20.
